Washington: Don’t let SB 6091 take away your choices as a home buyer or seller
A new bill, SB 6091, would deprive home sellers and buyers of their rights by imposing unfair restrictions on their freedom to buy and sell properties as they see fit.

The bill forces every home to be bought and sold in the exact same way, even though every Washingtonian has very different needs. Some sellers and buyers want maximum visibility and speed. Others value privacy and confidentiality and want a differentiated approach to selling their home. Rather than preserving the choice that exists in every other state, SB 6091 seeks to mandate that all listings follow the same inflexible path – which stands only to benefit the existing platforms and corporate interests that dominate access to listings.

Your voice matters. Lawmakers need to hear directly from Washingtonians about how this bill would affect them – buyers, sellers, and the real estate agents who serve them.

Tell your legislators to oppose SB 6091 or support an amendment that allows home sellers to opt out.
