2007 Legislative Session Set to Start

In just one day, on Wednesday January 10, the West Virginia State Legislature will begin their 2007 Session.  The session will run for 60 days and will adjourn on March 10.  It is expected to be a very different year with the election of a new Speaker of the House, Delegate Rick Thompson from Wayne Co., and an all new House leadership team which he has appointed.  As the new House Leadership team gets accustomed to their rolls we will inevitably see some bumps in the road.

The WV State Medical Association plans to keep you up-to-date throughout the session with weekly newsletters (if not more often) and action alerts.  This is all part of our new investment to keep our members better informed during the legislative session and throughout the year.
