Important Information----FTC Delays Red Flags Rule

Late Friday afternoon the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced that the Red Flags Rule will be delayed from November 1st, 2009 until June 1, 2010. The AMA has been urging the FTC and Congress to eliminate the requirement that physicians comply with the Red Flag Rule, saying that physicians are not "creditors" and therefore should not be subject to the rule.
