WEB ALERT Make English the Official Language of New York As the number of New York residents who are unable to speak English continues to rise, Assemblyman Brian Kolb has introduced A.B. 5350 to make English the official language of the state and encourage immigrants to get on the road to English learning. A.B. 5350 would make English the official language of New York, reducing government multilingualism and returning state agencies to their rightful role of promoting English by doing business in English.
