  What We Must Do Before Abortion is Illegal  
  “[A]bortion does not exist in a vacuum.  As long as teenagers are encouraged to believe that they are mature enough to have sex, that sex is “no big deal,” that being promiscuous is cool, that birth control pills are harmless and fail-safe,... we are going to keep seeing unplanned pregnancies.

There has to be a paradigm shift.  We need to begin to make young women understand that being slutty is not synonymous with being cool, funny, and smart.   Several states are gay marriage battlegrounds this year  
  Gay marriage is destined to become more of an election issue later this year with seven states facing gay marriage decisions in 2012.  Three might legalize gay marriage legislatively while proposed state constitutional amendments would ban it in two others.  Maine voters will have to vote a second time on gay marriage after defeating it just two years ago. 

 
  ObamaCare riding roughshod over religious freedom and conscience rights  
  Obama administration issues edict forcing religious institutions to provide free contraceptives, including abortifacients, in their health insurance plans.  Archbishop Timothy Dolan argues for respect by government for religious liberty and freedom of conscience.

 
  Student opposing gay adoptions on Biblical grounds browbeaten by school superintendent  
  Student who wrote op-ed in school newspaper opposing gay adoptions on Biblical grounds was told by school's superintendent he was “one of the most ignorant kids” and threatened with suspension.  Attorney representing student observes that school’s position constitutes unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination.

 
  Vanderbilt's chancellor reminds student organizations they can't require leaders to follow group's religious beliefs  
  Vanderbilt University’s chancellor sends email saying school doesn’t want to limit religious freedom but again tells student groups they must allow anyone to seek a leadership position.  Christian Legal Society will leave campus rather than re-write its constitution.  University to hold town hall meeting on Tuesday, January 31st, for students, faculty and staff to discuss policy.

 
  Girls Scouts: Too liberal or is the jury still out?  
  The Girl Scouts’ top brass have become even more supportive of abortion and Planned Parenthood over the years, and now its Colorado leaders have welcomed a 7 year old boy who “identifies” and dresses as a girl.  Should we stop buying cookies?  A Senior Fellow at the Family Research Council says “yes” but a journalist at LifeSiteNews wonders, is there a way in good conscience to still support the Girl Scouts?

 
  Area residents carry cross in support of Tennessee town  
  Cross carried nine miles to Whiteville, TN, in support of town’s own cross on its water tower.  Lawsuit against town being pursued by the Freedom From Religion Foundation.

 
  Pro-decency group describes new NBC show as incredibly vulgar and raunchy  
  Group says the 8:30 p.m. show is filled with an endless stream of vulgar sex jokes along with bashing Christians and mocking abstinence.

 
  Third smallest preemie to ever survive finally goes home  
  ABC’s Good Morning America aired this amazing video of one of the world’s tiniest babies last Saturday.  Wonder if they realized it was the day before the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade?

 
  State legislators propose to rein in disruptive students  
  Tennessee lawmakers propose bills giving teachers more authority and protection in dealing with disruptive students.
