  Obama says his “accommodation” is a common ground for religious objectors but Family Research Council notes it’s really a “burial ground for the First Amendment.” Other Christian leaders agree; Richard Land observes “mere accounting tricks will not suffice.”  Legislation in Congress to overturn mandate supported by 186 House members and 38 Senators. TN legislators file resolution urging Administration to reverse course.

 
  Governor Haslam and state legislators oppose Obamacare in Supreme Court  
  While Tennessee’s attorney general sits on the sidelines on battle over constitutionality of Obamacare, Governor Haslam joins with others in opposing the health care law in U.S. Supreme Court.  State lawmakers file their own brief with Supreme Court.

  Same-sex "marriage": Washington's governor signs bill but NJ may veto  
  Washington’s governor signs into law bill legalizing same-sex “marriages” but opponents will try to overturn it in November elections. New Jersey’s legislature passes similar bill but Governor Christie likely to veto it.  Maryland set to vote on same-sex marriage bill pushed by its governor.

  Is the link between social issues and economic issues finally becoming recognized? Obama’s contraceptive mandate, same-sex marriage, and Komen Foundation being bullied by Planned Parenthood begin to bring “social issues” to the forefront in this year’s election.

  PTV says MTV is targeting kids as young as 12 with the sex and alcohol-fueled show that airs on Thursday nights. Asks parents to take action by contacting the show’s sponsors.

  Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi wants to see Democratic Party make support for same-sex "marriage" a plank in the party’s platform, further putting “social issues" in the spotlight this November.

 
  TN bill restricting teaching about homosexuality to young students advances  
  Tennessee bill restricting teaching about homosexuality in elementary and middle schools, but allowing guidance counselors to discuss sexuality issues with students, passed by House Education subcommittee.  Supportive lawmakers contend bill protects parents’ rights to educate their children about homosexuality on their own terms.

 
  Last but not least: French President more conservative than U.S. leaders?  
  America has serious cultural problems when the leader of France, yes, the French President, is against same-sex “marriage,” civil unions, and homosexual adoptions.
