  Primary shows that social issues resound with Tennesseans  
  While Governor Haslam and Republican legislative leaders try to steer away from social issues, Tuesday’s primary results may embolden conservatives to press such issues in the state legislature. FACT’s President tells The Tennessean, “The last two presidential primaries show that we [Tennesseans] value social issues and that we look for people who understand that.”  (Editor’s note: FACT is a nonpartisan organization and takes no position in favor of or opposed to any political candidates.)

 
  Legislation advancing in Tennessee to rein in disruptive students  
  After having their hands tied for years, legislation passed the Tennessee Senate and is now moving forward in the state House that gives teachers more authority to deal with disruptive, undisciplined students without fear of liability.

 
  Tennessee principal bars student from reading Bible during school recess  
  Federal appellate court has agreed to hear a case involving a student who was prevented by a Knoxville elementary school principal from reading the Bible on the school's playground during recess.

 
  Taxpayers to fund abortions and transgender treatments for illegal aliens  
  Under new rules by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency in the Executive branch, immigration agents are required to provide free abortions and transgender hormone therapy to illegal aliens awaiting deportation.

 
  Supporters of biblically-based views on homosexuality under attack by gay activists  
  Those who express biblically-based views about homosexuality and same-sex marriage, such as actor Kirk Cameron when he responded to questions by CNN host Piers Morgan, are alleged to be accomplices to murder and suicide by some gay activists.

 
  Another Christian business ostracized for not supporting homosexual agenda  
  A university bars Chick-fil-A from becoming a vendor in a campus food court because it has donated to organizations that support traditional marriage and offer to help people who wish to leave the homosexual lifestyle.

 
  Should Christians break the law rather than comply with unjust, anti-Christian government mandates?  
  Franklin Graham, in voicing concerns over Obama’s mandate requiring religious organizations to provide free contraceptives including abortifacients, says “every Christian out there should be concerned that we will be forced to bring people into our organizations, and put them on our payrolls, when we know that they are opposed to everything that we stand for and believe.” He added, “I guess at that point, I would just have to break the law....

 
  Looking for a few good men and women  
  Six teenage girls have launched a campaign to send 1 million pro-life letters to the White House and the Supreme Court this month.  They’re looking for a few hundred thousand good people to join them.

 
  No intelligent discussion about intelligent design allowed in the workplace  
  A NASA employee intelligent enough to be the lead information technology specialist was demoted because he was not intelligent enough to know that you don't buck evolution by believing in intelligent design.
