  This Week's Viewpoint
What if Rachel Held Evans is wrong?
Rod Dreher, Senior Editor for the American Conservative, observes that “for traditional Christians, preparing our children to hold on to certain truths of the faith in the post-Christian culture that now exists, and that is fast coming into being, is going to be an incredibly difficult challenge.” Nowhere is that more evident than in how Christians, including young Evangelicals, view a bright-line issue that is dominating our culture today.  Read more....

  Latest News
Boy Scouts of America sets example of moral leadership at the top
After a two-year review, the Boy Scouts of America announced that it will not change its policy prohibiting openly gay persons from being members, leaders, or volunteers. In making the announcement, the BSA’s chief scout executive aptly noted that "[t]he vast majority of the parents of youth we serve value their right to address issues of same-sex orientation within their family, with spiritual advisers, and at the appropriate time and in the right setting.” It would seem that would hold true for parents of Girl Scouts, too, yet GSA’s top leadership has been quick to support liberal causes.
National food company not hesitant to stand by its Christian values
JTM Food Group, which provides meals to schools, restaurants, and the government, visually shares its owners’ pro-life convictions on its semi-trailers. As its CEO explains, “We’re working for an eternal purpose in all that we do. To say that God can be with me on Sundays or in my own quiet time [of prayer] but can’t be with me at work is just counter to the entire [Christian] belief system.” Hopefully, JTM’s example will inspire more Christian business leaders to live out their faith in the workplace.
And neither is Chick-fil-A's CEO, even under threats of boycotts
He’s not chicken to say it, even when his company is being threatened with boycotts by homosexual activists and college groups are trying to get its fast food restaurants removed from campuses.  Dan Cathy, CEO of Chick-fil-A, says they're for God's design for the family and intend to stay the course. We don't know about you but it makes us want to "think chicken" more often when looking for a quick lunch.
But Target and Kimberly Clark continuing their assault on family values
Just one month after selling “gay pride” T-shirts, Target is launching greeting cards in support of same-sex “marriage.”  And Kimberly Clark, the maker of Kleenex, paper towels, and diapers, is striving to get a perfect rating from a national gay activist group by becoming a sponsor of an event at which 14-18 year-olds who believe they are gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender will be encouraging adults to give generously to an organization that encourages more minors to turn to homosexuality. Perhaps these companies need to hear that catering to the gay agenda is not in their financial interest.
Watch for what your teens are watching this Sunday night
The Parents Television Council is warning parents that the 2012 Teen Choice Awards, which airs this Sunday night on the Fox broadcast network, is filled with nominees that even the movie and TV studios have rated as inappropriate for children and teens, including several R-rated movies and raunchy TV sex comedies.

Author of study on how children of gay parents fare is under attack
The author of a recent study on gay parenting, which has been labeled the “gold standard” of such studies, is being investigated by the university that employs him, at the behest of gay activists. The study of 3,000 young adults found that children of homosexual parents are significantly more likely to suffer from a range of social and mental health problems than are children of heterosexual parents. Scientists from other prestigious universities are publicly coming to the author’s defense, commending the study’s scientific integrity.

HSLDA warns UN treaty takes away parental rights
The Home School Legal Defense Association and other conservative organizations supporting parental rights have temporarily derailed U.S. Senate action on the United Nation’s Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Michael Farris, HSLDA’s Chairman, says the treaty would give the government “the ability to override every decision of a parent of disabled children if the government thinks that its views are in ‘the best interest of the child.’”
