Congresswoman Laura Gillen and Congressman Andrew Garbarino introduced a bill titled "Gio's Law," which aims to equip law enforcement officers with epinephrine and the necessary training to respond to anaphylactic emergencies.  

The legislation honors Giovanni Cipriano, a student who died at the age of 14 from an allergic reaction. Gio’s Law would establish the first-ever federal grant program at the U.S. Department of Justice to equip law enforcement across the country with epinephrine delivery systems and the training needed to recognize the symptoms of anaphylactic shock and administer epinephrine.
