THCGME Funding Still Threatened
The THCGME program was included in the latest continuing resolution signed into law on September 29. However, the legislation only provides a temporary extension of flat funding through November 21. We need to keep the pressure on Congress to provide a long-term commitment to reauthorizing the THCGME program.

The THCGME program is vital to addressing the shortage of primary care physicians and increases the number of physicians who serve in medically underserved and/or rural communities. The funding uncertainty jeopardizes the program’s future and threatens the primary care physician pipeline.
