The Texas House Committee on Public Health may vote on full practice authority (FPA) legislation, House Bill 3794, as soon as next week.
As introduced, this bill would retire the requirement for nurse practitioners (NPs) to have a contractual agreement with a delegating physician and would authorize NPs to prescribe Schedule II controlled substances in all settings.
AANP Members can now use this form to easily message lawmakers to respectfully request they support this bill.
