NY PAs - Take Action to Support Practice Modernization!
New York’s proposed budget (HMH, Part N, Subpart E) includes an important provision that would remove outdated supervision requirements for PAs working in Article 28 facilities or primary care settings. Under this provision, PAs would be able to practice without unnecessary administrative oversight, while continuing to collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members.

The effectiveness of grassroots advocacy is clear and your voice as a PA is essential. By sharing your story, you can help ensure that this provision remains in the final budget, expanding access to care, reducing delays, and strengthening the healthcare workforce across New York.

How you can help:

  • Use our template to email your NYS Senator and Assemblymember and let them know how this budget provision will help you and your patients.
  • Customize this message with your own personal story – include your education, training, experience, and why being a PA matters to you. Explain how this budget provision will make it easier for you to practice and serve your community.
  • Recruit others to join the campaign – invite colleagues, coworkers, friends, or family to take action and amplify your voice.

Together, we can ensure that PAs continue to provide timely, high-quality care to patients across New York.
