Pennsylvania PAs - Support the PA Compact!
The Pennsylvania Society of Physician Associates (PSPA) urges all Pennsylvania PAs to support the PA Licensure Compact!

PA Compact legislation (HB 1961) has passed the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and is now moving to the Senate! To keep this progress going, please use the message provided to email your state senator asking them to support and co-sponsor this bill. Feel free to customize the message with your own personal story.

The PA Compact is an interstate occupational licensure compact for PAs that, if adopted, will offer many benefits to Pennsylvania. It will:

  • Facilitate multistate practice through license portability.
  • Expand patient access to highly qualified practitioners.
  • Help Pennsylvania attract more PAs by reducing administrative barriers.
  • Allow PAs greater mobility during public health emergencies.
  • Require all PAs practicing in Pennsylvania to adhere to Pennsylvania's existing laws and regulations.

This legislation will not

  • Expand scope of practice for PAs.
  • Inhibit Pennsylvania from enforcing its own laws or regulations on PA practice.

Please take action now to help us build momentum for this important piece of legislation!
