The PA Compact is an interstate occupational licensure compact for PAs that offers many benefits to Michigan. If adopted, it will:

• Enable seamless multistate practice through license portability.
• Improve access to care, especially in rural and underserved areas.
• Strengthen recruitment and retention of PAs in Michigan.
• Support workforce flexibility during public health emergencies.

Just as important, the compact will NOT:

• Expand PA scope of practice.
• Override Michigan's laws and regulations on PA practice.
