Ask Congress to Support the Reducing Hereditary Cancer Act!
Currently, Medicare coverage of cancer screenings is mostly limited to individuals with symptoms or personal histories of disease. While Congress has expanded coverage for some cancer screenings in average- and high-risk populations (e.g., mammograms, colonoscopies, PSA tests), and Medicare must cover screenings consistent with a USPSTF grade A or B recommendation, most guideline-recommended interventions for individuals at increased hereditary risk remain uncovered.

The Reducing Hereditary Cancer Act would change this by allowing Medicare to cover hereditary cancer testing, increased screenings, and preventive interventions in accordance with professional recommendations and guidelines for beneficiaries with a personal or family risk for hereditary cancer.

Help us close this gap for Medicare beneficiaries by sending a letter to your members of Congress asking them to cosponsor the Reducing Hereditary Cancer Act. The process is simple and takes less than 5 minutes!
