If your Representative sits on the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee, which is considering the Chloe Cole Act of 2026, and we need your help to bring this legislation over the finish line this Congress!
This bill was transmitted to Congress by the Department of Justice and would provide a private right of action for children and their families who were subject to medical malpractice at the hands of the gender transition industry and their prescription of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgical mutilation. Victims report manipulation, failure to explain long-term effects, including chance of infertility, and neglect to discuss alternative treatments. This legislation would allow those affected to pursue civil damages, including detransition medical expenses and damages for emotional distress, pain and suffering. Very importantly, it would provide a lengthy statute of limitations to ensure individuals have sufficient time to seek legal recourse. For the broader culture, it will put doctors on notice that taking extreme, and often unknown, risk on minors is not justified nor medically sound. Irreversible treatments and surgeries to treat gender dysphoria will no longer be tolerated. While many children and young adults are currently experiencing lifelong physical damage and trauma after doctors provide so-called “gender-affirming care,” most cannot seek justice because of extremely short statute of limitations that are different in each state. The Chloe Cole Act of 2026 is currently sitting in the House Judiciary Committee. We believe we have a very high chance of a vote to pass the bill through committee and receive a vote on the House floor, but we need your help to bring attention to the legislation and encourage Judiciary Committee members to co-sponsor and vote yes on this legislation. Please take just a couple of minutes to contact your legislator. Thank you for your support and please forward this message to anyone who would be interested in helping pass this critical legislation! |
