Grad PLUS Loans
Attention: ADEA Members
We Need Your Voice!
Congress is considering eliminating Grad PLUS loans—a critical lifeline for dental students and other students in postgraduate professions. With Congress considering the elimination of Grad PLUS loans, your voice and personal story are more important than ever. Please, support our efforts!
Grad PLUS loans are a vital financial aid source for dental students, particularly those from low-income and underrepresented backgrounds. Without them, many students could be forced to borrow private loans, which often have higher interest rates and less flexible repayment options than federal loans. Many dental students could be forced to delay or abandon their dental education altogether—jeopardizing the future of the oral health workforce and access to care across the country.
TAKE ACTION TODAY! Send the Action Alert below to your U.S. Representative. Tell Congress to protect Grad PLUS loans and the dental students who rely on them.
Contact information for your Representative can be found here, under the “View Your Election Center” section.
Thank you for taking action to ensure access to dental education.

Action Alert
Save Grad PLUS loans
The future of oral health is in jeopardy! You can help. Grad PLUS loans are a vital lifeline for dental students. The U.S. House of Representatives is being asked to eliminate GRAD Plus loans in its reconciliation bill. Without these loans, many dental students could be forced to borrow private loans, which often have higher interest rates and less flexible repayment options than federal loans. Many aspiring dentists could be forced to delay or forgo their education, threatening the strength of the dental workforce and access to care in your district.
I urge you to protect Grad PLUS loans and the dental students that depend on them. Two-thirds of dental school students and nearly a third of dental hygiene students rely on student loans to pay for their professional education.
Preserving this program means investing in a well-trained, oral health workforce that meets the needs of all communities—rural and urban.
Please do not eliminate Grad PLUS loans!
Thank you for supporting dental students, oral health education and access to oral health care.
