HB 1127 is a measure introducing the Dentist and Dental Hygienist Compact (DDH Compact).
As you may know, the DDH Compact creates a multistate licensure framework that allows dentists and dental hygienists to practice across participating states more easily. The bill streamlines certain examination and experience requirements and establishes the DDH Compact Commission to manage an interstate data system that coordinates licensure information and disciplinary actions. Under the Compact, hygienists can obtain a compact privilege, giving them licensure portability to practice in participating states without having to secure multiple individual licenses.
