Tell the US Senate to oppose any rule changes to the Senate filibuster. If there is no filibuster we will be under a one party rule for the next 100 years.
TAKE ACTION - If you are from KY, click on the link to send a message to our two US Senators to keep the filibuster.
Everyone, please call your US Senators
KY Sen MCConnell (202) 224-2541
KY Sen Rand Paul (202) 224-4343
If you are outside of KY call 1-202-224-3121
Tell them:
Oppose any rule changes to the Senate filibuster. Changing the filibuster is part of a partisan scheme to rewrite election laws in one party’s favor.
Senator Schumer used to defend the filibuster he now seeks to destroy.
He said, they want “to change the rules in midstream, to wash away 200 years of history, to make this country into a banana republic, where if you don’t get your way, you change the rules.”
But now, Schumer isn’t getting his way, so HE wants to change the Senate’s rules of debate.
Schumer wants to “nuke” the filibuster so he can make extremely partisan changes to election law by passing bill S.2747. This bill will:
publicly fund political campaigns by allowing states to opt-in to the federal financing of House races
Undermine state voter ID laws
Mandate same-day registration
Require ballots cast outside the voter’s precinct to be counted
Create unaccountable redistricting committees
Unconstitutionally require states to restore the ability of felons to vote
Senator Schumer wants to rig election laws in his favor, and to do it, he wants to rig the Senate’s rules in his favor.
This is a nakedly-partisan ploy. It’s wrong, and it’s destructive to the Senate and to our country.
I am asking you to Vote “NO!” on any reform to the filibuster and protect our state’s election laws.
Thank you for taking my message.
The filibuster will also prevent the domino effect. With the split in the Senate, Democrats want to abolish the historic procedure in order to ram through their most contentious legislation: federalized elections, DC statehood, Puerto Rico statehood, packing the supreme court, green new deal, medicare for all, gun confiscation, socialism and farewell to freedom.
