PETITON TO CONGRESS: I urge you to investigate the Southern Poverty Law Center.
They have listed many Christian organizations on their Hate List simply because they believe in God's plan for a one man one woman marriage, that a child is better off with a mother and a father, or that a 15-year-old boy should not be able to play on the girls’ sports teams and share their locker rooms and showers.
Their hate list has caused grief to many businesses who have suffered when others have refused to do business with them such as Pay Pal and Guidestar.
Their hate list has even caused the shedding of blood. Remember the attack on the Family Researh Council by Floyd Lee Corkins, a gay man who was hoping to carry out a massacre of Christians but was thwarted by a security guard whom he wounded. As Corkins himself stated, “Southern Poverty Law lists anti-gay groups. I found them online, did a little research, went to the website, stuff like that.”
The SPLC, a non profit, also needs to be investigated because of transferring millions to offshore entities, including the Cayman Islands and other tax havens. An analysis in the Washington Free Beacon found that the tax-exempt group, known as much for its fundraising prowess as its civil-rights work, sent more than $4 million to entities incorporated in the Cayman Islands, according to 2014 tax documents. Financial consultants described the overseas dealings, which include financial interests in the British Virgin Islands and Bermuda, as “extremely unusual” and “a huge red flag” for a 501©3 organization. The SPLC holds $328 million in net assets and raised more than $50 million in contributions in 2015 despite spending just $61,000 on legal services.
     Please investigate the SPLC.
