Ask Metro Council to remove Mayor Fischer from office
for NOT protecting Louisville!
For years, Mayor Greg Fischer has underfunded our police in Louisville, KY. In recent weeks when our heroes, the police, are doing their job at protecting us, Mayor Fischer has repeatedly told them to STAND DOWN or RETREAT, thus causing the violence to escalate. Mayor Fischer was slow to call in the National Guard after recent looting and riots. Then he asked the National Guard to leave. Mayor Fischer has NOT kept Louisville safe for its citizens and visitors.
According to KRS67C.143, Metro Council has the power to remove a mayor from office.
At a Call to Action Rally at Central Park on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, George Rodman a former officer, and father of fallen officer Nick Rodman, spoke about how we need to support our police and how our mayor has repeatedly asked the police to STAND DOWN and RETREAT. Mayor Fischer has NOT kept Louisville safe. Rodman said, "Our police are on the front lines to help protect us. The majority of Louisville Metro Police have worked 20 of the last 23 days, 12-13-14 hour shifts on the front line. They have been spit on, hit by glass bottles with gasoline or urine, bricks thrown at them, homemade explosives detonated near them, exposed to COVID-19. They have been assaulted, berated, and shot at. . . Why are crimes being committed daily in the name of protest that would not be tolerated otherwise?" ( Watch video here.)
If you agree that Mayor Fischer has NOT kept Louisville safe, that he is catering to the criminals, and that he has not allowed the police and national guard to do their job to protect us, then click on the link and sign the petition and ask Metro Council to REMOVE Mayor Greg Fischer from Office.
The petition will be given to Metro Council this summer.
