Support Migraine & Headache Awareness Resolution
In alignment with Migraine and Headache Awareness Month in June, Representative Madeleine Dean (PA-4) introduced a resolution on June 11th. This resolution was written to acknowledge June as migraine and headache awareness month, raise awareness about the impact of migraine and headache disease and reaffirm a commitment to public education about migraine disease and headache disorders to reduce stigma.

The resolution highlights some key issues in our community:

  • Disability (including Social Security Administration issues)
  • Workplace Impact (including presenteeism / absenteeism)
  • Stigma
  • Disproportionate Impact on Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC)
  • Specific Focus on Cluster Headache
  • Access to Treatment
  • Federal Research Funding

We would like to encourage you to share this resolution with your representative and seek their support in co-sponsoring the resolution.
