In the last quarter of 2021, donors to the AKC Political Action Committee (PAC) were entered in a drawing, with the grand prize being an Impact Crate.
The AKC PAC is pleased to announce the lucky winners:
Impact Crate – LeeAnn Martin
2 Westminster Kennel Club Show tickets – Peter Piusz
Full Ad in Showsight Magazine – Prudence Hlatky
2 tickets to the 2022 AKC National Championship and hotel stay – Mary Yoders
Ad in Retriever News magazine – Marcy Wright.
Contributions to the AKC PAC from members of AKC clubs play an important role in supporting lawmakers who support reasonable, non-discriminatory laws for dog ownership and protect the rights of responsible dog owners.
“The AKC Political Action Committee is so appreciative of all our supporters. They are the bedrock of our clubs and our efforts to preserve our breeds and our sport,” said Gail Laberge, AKC PAC Chairman. I’d also like to recognize Karolynne McAteer, whose generous donation of an Impact Crate for a drawing, really spurred enthusiasm and helped make 2021 a successful year for the PAC. “
Because 2022 is an election year, supporting dog-friendly candidates is more important than ever. The AKC PAC, which is open to members of AKC clubs, is tangible, effective means of helping ensure that lawmakers who support purebred dog owners and breeders stay in office and continue to fight to preserve our historic breeds.
