Federal Advocacy for Psychology: The Basics (1-Hour)
This course will prepare participants to advocate effectively for psychology on federal policies affecting the profession and discipline of psychology, and the importance of becoming an advocate. This 1-hour course will provide a brief overview of the federal legislative process, how Congress communicates with the public, and the essential role that psychologists play in informing and influencing policymakers. Viewers will learn how best to get involved on issues of concern to the psychology community and effective tips for communicating with policymakers.
