FY27 Appropriations Deadlines Moved Up – Take Action Now
The House has released Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 appropriations guidance with earlier rolling deadlines for Member funding submissions. Offices must submit requests to the House Appropriations Committee by March 13 or March 20, depending on the subcommittee. Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education (Labor-HHS) programmatic and language requests are due March 20 at 6:00 PM ET. Early engagement is critical to protect and strengthen federal public health funding.

We urge you to contact your Members of Congress as soon as possible and request robust FY27 investments in public health. ASPPH’s priorities call for $51.303 billion for the National Institutes of Health (NIH), $11.581 billion for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and $10.5 billion for the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), as well as key public health programs within these agencies, to support research, disease prevention, emergency preparedness, and workforce development.

Please use ASPPH’s FY27 Funding Priorities Chart and our letter to the Appropriations Committees to guide and strengthen your outreach. Timely action will help ensure sustained investments that advance academic public health and improve the nation’s health.
