In February 2025, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health released proposed amendments to 105 CMR 125.000, Licensing of Radiologic Technologists. The proposed amendments would establish licensure requirements for a limited scope of practice in radiography license in the state. By requiring limited-scope radiographers to obtain licensure through the Department of Public Health, Massachusetts is taking a critical step to ensure Bay Staters receive safe, high-quality care. The Department of Public Health held a public hearing on the proposed amendments to 105 CMR 125.000 on March 26, 2025. The next step in the regulatory process is for the department to review public comments and then release the finalized version of the regulations to the public for adoption.
