NY Take Action: Support A3997/S1636 Prohibit mandatory COVID shots for Work and College
Not all vaccine related bills in New York are bad, some are quite good, including  Assemblymember Ed Flood’s (East Setauket-R) Assembly Bill 3397 and the identical Senate Bill S1636 from Senator Peter Oberacker(Otsego-R). The bills prohibit employers and colleges from imposing COVID shots on employees or students.  We would prefer a bill that prohibits colleges and employers from imposing any vaccines or medical procedures on employees or students, but this is a step in the right direction.

No school or employer has the right to impose a medical procedure or product, especially an experimental product like the COVID shot, on employees or students. It violates a fundamental human right to privacy and to bodily autonomy.

Despite the lack of the most basic information on the safety or efficacy of COVID shot, most colleges in New York, including all public colleges, imposed mandates on students, although almost none forced employees to get the shots. Many public and private employers imposed mandates, as well. This bill begins a desperately needed change in direction over who should make medical decisions,  individuals for themselves, or employers, college administrators or politicians.

Talking Points

A key fact that was deliberately covered up is that Covid shots do not stop transmission. COVID shots may diminish symptoms, but they do not stop transmission or contraction of COVID. And if it does not stop transmission there is no reason to mandate a vaccine.

Almost every adult in New York, 95% according to the CDC, have taken the at least one COVID shot, and about 95% have had COVID, which speaks to the lack of efficacy of the shot.

COVID is a minimal risk for most adults. According to the CDC, COVID overall has a 99.74% survival rate. For people aged 18 to 29, like the vast majority of college students, the survival rate is 99.97%.

The COVID shots is still considered an experimental Emergency Use product because of the lack of the usual multiyear safety and efficacy studies required to license a medical product. Vaccines usually are tested for 7 to 15 years before they are placed on the market. Covid shots were only tested for weeks prior to mass usage. We have no idea what the short-term, much less the long-term health effects will be on people.  Our entire population is being used as test subjects for an enormous medical experiment.

COVID mandates forced people to be test subjects in a medical experiment in violation of the Nuremberg Code. Using people in medical experiments without their informed consent is a violation of the Nuremberg Code developed in the aftermath of physicians in Nazi Germany forcing people against their will to be test subjects in medical experiments.

Serious adverse vaccine reactions are real and are underreported. As of 10/27/23, 1,567,238 adverse events following COVID vaccines have been reported to Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS), including 36,166 deaths. According to a government-funded study at Harvard, less than 1% of all adverse reactions to vaccines are submitted to the VAERS.  The number of vaccine injuries reported to VAERS exploded within weeks of the release of the COVID shot in 2020.

Any beneficial effect of the COVID shot declines rapidly, which is why we are now up to the sixth COVID booster, a booster which very few adults in the US are choosing to have injected into their bodies.

Individuals should make their own medical decisions without interference from employers, colleges or the state.
