Take Action: Support Midwifery and Birth Center Care in Ohio
Ohio lawmakers are considering SB 438, a bill that would regulate the practice of midwifery and support freestanding birthing centers.

This legislation would establish a framework for the practice of midwifery and oversight of birth centers, helping expand access to maternal healthcare services and support a broader range of safe, community-based care options.

The bill is currently under consideration in the Senate Health Committee.

We urge you to contact your State Senator in the Senate Health Committee and ask them to support this legislation and advance it from committee.

Sincerely,
Karina Collins
