Thank Georgia Policymakers for Expanding Access to Contraceptive Care
Georgia recently enacted HB 1138, the Increasing Access to Contraceptives Act, expanding access to contraceptive services across the state.

This law authorizes trained pharmacists to prescribe and dispense certain contraceptives, requires health insurance plans and Georgia Medicaid to cover FDA-approved contraceptive products, and ensures patients can receive multi-month supplies of contraception. The legislation also establishes reimbursement protections for pharmacists providing these services, helping improve access to care in communities across Georgia.
