This legislation would create a statewide program to collect and analyze information from individuals who have recently given birth, helping the state better understand preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum experiences and identify opportunities to improve maternal and infant health outcomes. The bill also supports the use of de-identified data for research, public reporting, and quality improvement efforts.

The bill has passed the House and is now under consideration in the Senate Health and Human Services Committee.
