Dear Friend,
On February 12, a monument to the victims of the Holocaust was once again desecrated in Yerevan. This isn't the first time this monument gets attacked in broad daylight and this isn't a surprise that Jews are not welcome in Armenia. According to many studies, Armenia remains one of the most anti-Semitic countries in the world. In 2018, for instance, Pew Research Center study revealed that Armenia is the most anti-Semitic country in Europe, with 32% of Armenians not accepting Jews are citizens of their country. It should not come as a surprise then that only a couple hundred mixed Jews live in Armenia, while Georgia and Azerbaijan's Jewish minorities number in thousands. In fact, Azerbaijan has the highest population of Jews in South Caucasus and oldest Jewish community in the region dating back 2,000 years.
Please send this letter to inform your elected officials about growing anti-Semitism in Armenia and desecration of monuments to victims of Holocaust.
Thank you!
