On February 24, 2022, Russia launched full-scale military aggression against Ukraine. The invasion is considered the largest conventional military attack on the European continent since World War II. The military assault triggered Europe's largest refugee crisis since that war, with over 3.7 million Ukrainians leaving the country, and millions more fleeing their homes.
This is not the first armed conflict Moscow has imposed on states in its immediate neighborhood to satisfy its imperialistic designs. We know by now that Russia has systematically used illegitimate stateless proxies like Abkhazians, Ossetians and Russians, and client states like Armenia to instigate conflicts in the Republics of Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and Azerbaijan since the early 1990s.
Please take a moment to send this letter to your elected officials to inform them about the similarities of Russia's designs in these states, so that the US lawmakers and Biden administration can draw proper parallels in its policies vis-a-vis the Kremlin.
Thank you!
