As you know, faced with embarrassing losses on the battlefield, Russia is desperately trying to gear up its chauvinist imperialistic narrative against neighboring nations that refuse to be subdued to Moscow. Azerbaijan, as one of the states which suffered from Armenian aggression resulting in occupation of over 17% of its territories, perfectly understands Ukraine - a victim of Russian aggression, and does everything to assist its friend in these difficult days by providing humanitarian and logistical aid.
This doesn't sit well with Moscow and its client state of Armenia. As you may have heard already, a member of Russian Duma and a mouthpiece of the Kremlin, Mikhail Delyagin has publicly denounced Azerbaijan for providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine, moving its troops on its own territory in Karabakh region and subsequently called for a nuclear strike against oil fields in Baku on Russian state TV.
Although he later apologized under pressure, it was clear that his remarks were pre-approved and delivered on public television as a warning to Baku. Please take a minute to send this letter to your elected officials to inform them about outrageous rhetoric building up in Moscow. We can no longer tolerate Russian imperialism in any shape or form.
Thank you!
