Airline workers need testing, screening, and PPE

Due to the nature of our duties, airline workers — particularly pilots, flight attendants, and gate and ticket agents — have an elevated risk of exposure to COVID-19. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency identifies airline workers as essential employees, and as such we should be granted priority for personal protective equipment. In addition, airline workers and passengers alike need ready access to reliable testing and screening to help limit the spread of the virus.

The APA Government Affairs Committee is aggressively pursuing these initiatives on your behalf in Washington, D.C., but we need your help in reinforcing our message to policymakers. Please take a minute to send letters to the White House and your representatives in Congress reinforcing the need for immediate action.

Thank you for your participation.
