They listened.
Congress just passed their final Fiscal Year 2021 appropriations, which funds the National Limb Loss Resource Center® at the full $4 million level we requested! This funding will allow the Resource Center to continue to provide the support programs and services our community depends on.
Help the Amputee Coalition thank Congress by sending a message to your Senators and Representative now!
Not only that, they heard how the Resource Center is where our community turns when they have questions and how our talented staff connect them with the answers they need. They learned how the Resource Center provides publications and educational materials to support recovery and reintegration that our community just can’t get anywhere else. Not to mention they were reminded about our partnerships with the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense, which support our veterans and Wounded Warriors.
This year, the National Limb Loss Resource Center’s services have been needed more than ever. The Amputee Coalition met the challenges of COVID-19 by developing new educational resources about navigating the pandemic, investing in mental health and well-being supports, and launching new virtual support groups while stepping-up peer visits through our peer support app.
Those are just a few of the reasons we’re so grateful to Congress for continuing to fund the National Limb Loss Resource Center®.
