Help Address the Pediatric Rheumatology Shortage

There are nearly 300,000 children in the U.S. who have juvenile arthritis, yet fewer than 350 board-certified and practicing pediatric rheumatologists. That's only 1 doctor for nearly 900 kids.  As a result of this severe shortage of pediatric rheumatologists, only 25 percent of children with arthritis are getting the care and treatment they need. Click here to watch our Junior Ambassadors talk about the shortage and how you can help!  The Ensuring Children's Access to Specialty Care Act would help incentivize medical students to study pediatric rheumatology and help decrease the shortage of pediatric rheumatologists, encourage your Members of Congress to co-sponsor this legislation today!
