March 29-April 10: Schedule In-District Meetings with Your Members of Congress
March 29, 2021 by NAPA Government Affairs

As referenced in the previous story, details of President Biden’s Build Back Better infrastructure initiative are expected to be released on March 31 during a press conference in Pittsburgh. The transportation construction industry must get involved to ensure its success. While the House and Senate are in recess March 29–April 10, NAPA is mobilizing a grassroots campaign for the asphalt pavement industry to educate legislators and urge congressional action on highway funding issues.

NAPA is asking members to send messages and schedule virtual meetings with their members of Congress during this recess period to discuss the critical highway funding issues pending before the 117th Congress. Specifically, members of Congress need to consider the FY2022 appropriations bill, secure a sustainable revenue source for the Highway Trust Fund, and consider the president’s infrastructure plan. Please take action today to join this grassroots campaign and have your voice heard.

For more information on getting involved, visit the NAPA government affairs website to find the 117th Congress educational kits, advocacy handbook, tips for scheduling virtual meetings with your members of Congress, and more.
