The U.S. House of Representatives on August 24 voted along party lines, 220-212, to pass a procedural bill (H. Res. 601) allowing a vote on the Senate-passed Infrastructure Investment and American Jobs Act (H.R. 3684) on Monday, September 27.
As passed, H. Res. 601 approves the Senate-passed budget resolution, which unlocks the 50-vote threshold in the Senate for Biden’s American Jobs Plan and American Families Plan. The rule also provides for one hour of debate and a separate vote on H.R. 3684.
