On Dec. 14, TRIP, a NAPA-supported organization that prepares state-by-state reports on surface transportation issues, released The U.S. Freight Network's Critical Role in the Supply Chain, which examines the importance of an efficient and reliable supply chain to deliver goods and services that keeps the nation's economy moving and highlights the impacts that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the U.S. freight transportation network and its implications if the nation's supply chain challenges are not addressed. The report is helpful for State Asphalt Pavement Associations to advocate on behalf of states, using state-by-state data, to make additional investments to improve the efficiency and condition of the nation’s freight network to minimize supply chain disruptions.
