The BoatU.S. Government Affairs Team is always working to stay in front of policy trends on the water. Here’s what BoatU.S. is watching for you:

Off-Shore Wind Farms – While it has been more than a decade since proposed off-shore wind farms showed up on our “radar,” the current trend points toward significant expansion of these facilities in some areas. Their potential impact on navigation safety, and recreational fishing opportunities are the primary factors we review when commenting. We are also watchful for how onshore infrastructure requirements will intersect with recreational boating facilities such as marinas and boat ramps. Like many other real estate uses, wind farms are often about “Location, Location, Location.”

We count on boaters to alert us to issues and trends in their own areas. What are your thoughts? Drop us a line at govtaffairs@boatus.com
