ECRAC COVID-19 Emergency Response Grants Open Now

The East Central Regional Arts Council (ECRAC) voted last night to approve a new grant program. ECRAC developed the COVID-19 emergency response grant to provide funding of up to $600 for artists and art organizations to do art projects online or in other forms during the current shut down of arts venues.
This grant is for artists and art organizations who have had projects cancelled or postponed due to COVID-19. We are striving to encourage the practice of social distancing sheltering at home. Projects may be in any form or discipline, including performance, dance, storytelling, photography, film, sculpture, painting, and more.
Applicants must show that they can do the project without violating any public health guidelines. For example, no in-person activities are allowed at this time. Projects can be virtual or broadcasted events.

Essential Arts Socializing with Zoom
Since most of us aren't able to get out, and these are super stressful times, ECRAC is starting an every other week Zoom meeting for artists and arts organizations.
They will start on Friday, April 3, 2020 from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm There won't be an agenda just us getting together to talk arts, community, resources, etc. We just want to keep in touch with all of you, see your faces, learn about your new arts projects, Join Zoom Meeting
Zoom accounts for arts organizations and artist groups
ECRAC voted last night to allocate funding to Region 7E arts organizations, and artist groups, to pay for a one year Zoom Pro Meeting Plan on your behalf. Advantages? Zoom works well even with our not-so-great rural internet. Zoom Pro means that your meetings can be longer than 40 minutes. Your group having its own Zoom account means your group is in completely in charge of the account so that you have privacy. Questions? Interested?
