Committees and Task Forces

Most committees meet between 2-4 times per year via Zoom. New committee and task force member requests are considered annually, with appointments made in April of each year. I would like to volunteer for the following NYACP Committee/Task Force:

Abstract and Poster Judging for the Resident/Fellow and Medical Student Competition

NYACP hosts a poster competition at the Annual Scientific Meeting. The first round in the competition is an online abstract review and the second round is an in-person poster competition. Members may volunteer to participate as judges in one or both rounds.

District Event Planning

NYACP District Presidents host events at the local (district level) for members and to invite non-members to learn more about ACP. Members who live or work in that district are invited to be a part of the district's planning committee to brainstorm and plan events. The planning committee meets as needed. Typically, 2 events are planned per year.

Faculty

The Chapter hosts monthly virtual events, in-person district events and an Annual Scientific Meeting.

Content Creation and Review

The Chapter often needs content created and/or edited by physicians for Chapter programming. Examples include questions for the popular Resident/Fellow Doctor’s Dilemma Competition and Pearls of Wisdom for the Physician Spotlight Podcast. These roles are on an as needed basis.
