ForArts and Cultural Organizations

Empowering Those Who Inspire

Whether you’re a museum director, choreographer, or independent publisher, DataArts will support you in doing what you do best. The data you provide serves multiple purposes. With it, you can apply for grants, get a clear picture of your organization’s progress, inform your decision-making, and make a stronger case to stakeholders.

As of 2022, SMU DataArts is pursuing a strategy emphasizing our identity as a leading research center, so we are streamlining our training calendar to allow us to produce more research-related content. This change is supported by our attendance numbers, which tend to be fairly low for our monthly training webinars and much higher for our research-focused content.

Planned changes include:

  • Getting Started with the CDP webinars will be offered every other month. An up-to-date recording will always be available on demand.
  • Data at Work webinars (describing the reporting tools and analytics available to participating organizations) will be offered two times per year. An up-to-date recording will always be available on demand.
  • We will add new offerings to our schedule including a CDP Annual Review of research produced with CDP data and changes to the CDP, as well as a general research roundup sharing recent research releases.
  • We will continue to offer a robust calendar of programming to promote engagement with the research and insights we produce.
