Education, State Board of - As enacted, requires the state board to adopt a policy allowing American sign language courses to satisfy the foreign language credits required for graduation. - Amends TCA Title 49, Chapter 6, Part 10.

    AMENDMENT #1 requires the state board of education to adopt a policy allowing American sign language courses to satisfy the foreign language credits required for graduation, instead of requiring the board to promulgate rules to adopt and implement books and curriculum for American sign language courses to satisfy foreign language requirements.
