FutureReady Informational Webinar
Do you want to learn more about FutureReady — the State Board of Education's multi-year initiative to update Washington's high school graduation requirements? Now is your chance!
Staff from the State Board of Education will host a webinar on Tuesday, November 19 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Join us to discover what FutureReady is all about, what it aims to accomplish, and how the process will unfold.
During the webinar, you’ll also have the opportunity to submit questions about the plans and approach for FutureReady. It is important to note that the Board is not proposing changes to graduation requirements at this time, so we won’t be able to answer questions regarding which graduation requirements may or may not be updated.
If you need any accommodations, please indicate that when you register by one week before the event.
FutureReady is an initiative aimed at updating Washington State high school graduation requirements to better prepare students for the future. The goal is to empower students with the essential knowledge and skills they need to thrive in a changing world, while streamlining the graduation requirements framework to promote accessibility and equity.
This multi-year initiative centers on engaging students, educators, and other partners to help the State Board develop a comprehensive proposal for enhancing graduation requirements, anticipated for the 2027 legislative session.
