The funding that comes from the Sport Fish Restoration Act plays a critical role in developing and enhancing opportunities for anglers and boaters nationwide. Through Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation (R3) projects, the aim is to increase opportunities and participation in angling, hunting, and target shooting. Access to Fishing Protected 🎣
Last Friday, VT Senate Bill 258 failed to move and is effectively dead (for now). The legislation would have lead to to the appointment of @vtfishandwildlife Board members who may restrict access to opportunities for anglers.
Through the purchases of fishing and hunting license and excise taxes paid on fishing equipment, tackle, guns and ammunition, Vermont’s anglers, hunters and sportsmen and women have financed the management of fish and wildlife for decades. Thank you to our @keepamericafishing supporters who made your voice heard to protect this proven, successful model of conservation.
