Recent photo of Virginia Tech bound recipient of an NCOA Bettsy Ross Educational Grant. She along with 2 others were selected for this year. In addition, fifteen NCOA scholarships were recently awarded to dependents of NCOA members. NCOA Scholarships are initially awarded for one academic year, but the student may be considered to receive this assistance throughout four years of undergraduate study if the student maintains a "B" average, carries the prescribed minimum of 15 hours and submits the required renewal application. NCOA Scholarship Fund to help dependents of NCOA members to continue their education beyond high school. To date, the Scholarship Fund has awarded nearly $1.5 million in non-repayable scholarships committed to educating tomorrow's leaders. All donations received are used for scholarships and grants and no administrative or overhead expenses come out of the donations received.
NCOA Bettsy Ross Grants to assist NCOA International Auxiliary Division members wishing to prepare themselves for employment or improve on employable skills. Bettsy Ross Grants are designed to help defray the cost of taking a course at an accredited local business or technical school.
NCOA Disaster Relief Fund was established in 1994 to assist enlisted military personnel with immediate disaster-related expenses. Grants have been awarded to personnel in all five branches of the Armed Forces to include Guard and Reserve Components to assist with emergency needs in floods, hurricanes, typhoons, and tornadoes etc.
