School has started and the Woke Agenda is Assaulting Your Children

So what is in the Murphy Sex Education Standards?

School has started and the graphic, sexually exploitative new learning standards are now being implemented in many of the school districts across the Garden State. More and more parents and concerned stakeholders are attending school board meetings, calling school superintendents, principals, and teachers to voice their objections to the unwarranted assault on the innocence of their children. What’s even worse, the New Jersey Comprehensive Health and Sex Education Standards are diminishing real education like math, language arts, finance, and science, along with other vital workplace skills necessary for a child’s future.

So what is so objectionable? Just what is in the “New Jersey Student Learning Standards – Comprehensive Health and Physical Education?”

We are going to highlight a few content items in this first of a series on the NJ Board of Education 2020 “woke” Sex Education Standards.

Let’s start with 5th grade.

• 2.1.5.PGD.4: Explain common human sexual development and the role of hormones (e.g., romantic and sexual feelings, masturbation, mood swings, timing of pubertal onset).

We believe that the above section is age inappropriate for these 9,10 and 11-year-old children.

Parents, not government schools, should be the only adults teaching their children about sexuality and sexual health. The brain is not fully formed until the mid-twenties and beyond.

“It doesn’t matter how smart teens are or how well they scored on the SAT or ACT. Good judgment isn’t something they can excel in, at least not yet.

The rational part of a teen’s brain isn’t fully developed and won’t be until age 25 or so.

In fact, recent research has found that adult and teen brains work differently. Adults think with the prefrontal cortex, the brain’s rational part. This is the part of the brain that responds to situations with good judgment and an awareness of long-term consequences. Teens process information with the amygdala. This is the emotional part.

In teens’ brains, the connections between the emotional part of the brain and the decision-making center are still developing—and not always at the same rate. That’s why when teens have overwhelming emotional input, they can’t explain later what they were thinking. They weren’t thinking as much as they were feeling.” according to the University of Rochester Medical Center Health Encyclopedia.

There are multiple articles and scientific data showing that brain development continues into adulthood, particularly in the areas of risk aversion within the pre-frontal cortex. So the justification for introducing graphic, explicit sexual behavior is not only extreme but intensely harmful.

So why does the NJ Department of Education mandate the instruction of masturbation to 5th graders? How does an educator teach masturbation? What is on a child’s mind when performing the act? What are the emotional and mental health consequences for your minor child? What is the health value? What is the academic value of this type of instruction?

• 2.1.5.PGD.5: Identify trusted adults, including family members, caregivers, school staff, and health care professionals, whom students can talk to about relationships and ask questions about puberty and adolescent health.

Who is a trusted adult? Especially in our modern-day hypersexualized culture: the same culture that has infiltrated our local schools through these education mandates.

The group of people listed in 2.1.5.PGD.5 is a diverse, unknown and perhaps unqualified group of people. A health care professional may be an expert in cardiovascular care but woefully lacking in matters related to educating adolescents about sex. Would you want your child asking the school custodian or their bus driver about these delicate matters? Do you know if you can trust your school’s staff to teach these important life-changing behaviors to your child?

The Murphy Administration’s push to sexually exploit NJ children is extreme and a violation of the family. Whether or not you have children in the government school system, as a responsible citizen you must respond and protect future generations from this harmful exploitation.

The Center for Garden State Families is working for you. We have a 2-hour presentation with Q&A that explains in detail what is in the education mandates and how they may be taught to NJ children. Call our office to schedule a date and time.
