Join us Monday, May 12 at 7 p.m. for a live conversation with five Democratic candidates running to be New Jersey’s next governor: Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, Reps. Josh Gottheimer (D-5th) and Mikie Sherrill (D-11th) and former state Senate President Steve Sweeney. The conversation, in partnership with WNYC Radio, will be moderated by NJ Spotlight News anchor Briana Vannozzi and WNYC Morning Edition host Michael Hill. New Jersey Education Association President Sean Spiller will also appear on the June primary ballot, but did not raise the $580,000 needed to qualify for public matching funds and participate in this conversation. The New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission sets those requirements. This is one of the mandatory public events for candidates receiving public financing.
