You can register for the Continuing Education credits by visiting this website:

https://reactforhope.org/events-education

A QR Code link on April 17th will be provided on a flyer. The QR code gives access to the add-on 70min panel discussion. You MUST watch the film as a prerequisite to taking course and getting credit.

This course is a certified AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ which means doctors and nurses can use for their continuing education requirements for licensure. It’s the highest level of medical education and it’s national (USA). Most educator licensing requirements acknowledge AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ but we recommend registrants find out what their state requirements are and if this course qualifies. (Unfortunately most Chiropractor and Pharmacist licensing boards do not participate).

About the film

Inspired by the book Underestimated, the new full-length documentary SPELLERS challenges conventional wisdom regarding a group relegated to society’s margins: nonspeakers with autism, who most “experts” believe are cognitively disabled. As the film opening asks, “What if we’ve been wrong…about every single one of them?” SPELLERS answers that question, in convincing fashion, through the stories of eight nonspeakers—Aydan, Evan, Sid, Maddie, Jamie, Vince, Cade, and Elizabeth—who all found their voice through the miraculous process of using a letterboard to communicate their thoughts and feelings. As Jamie explains, “we think, feel, and learn just like everyone else.”
